“Everything Everywhere All At Once” (“Tudo em Todo o Lado Ao Mesmo Tempo”) era o filme mais nomeado para a edição deste ano dos Oscares, com 11 indicações, e acabou por conseguir levar para casa sete estatuetas, incluindo as de Melhor Filme e Melhor Atriz – foi o filme grande vencedor da noite, com mais prémios do que qualquer outro filme.
Alguns aspetos curiosos da noite:
Todos os quatro vencedores nas categorias de representação (atores e atrizes) – Michelle Yeoh, Brendan Fraser, Jamie Lee Curtis e Ke Huy Quan – ganharam os seus primeiros Oscares nesta edição; 16 nomeados eram estreantes.
Yeoh, a primeira mulher asiática a ganhar o prémio de Melhor Atriz, recebeu o seu Oscar das mãos de Halle Berry, a primeira mulher negra a ganhar a estatueta dourada.
O apresentador Jimmy Kimmel inevitavelmente fez algumas piadas sobre Will Smith, que na cerimónia do ano passado deu um soco no apresentador da edição 2022, Chris Rock.
Apesar do português “Ice Merchants” não ter ganho a categoria para a qual estava nomeado, a curta entrou para a história como o primeiro filme português nomeado para os Õscares.
